That's right....TWO guys have my heart now! I never knew how much i would love this child. I can't even describe it in words. My heart smiles each time i see him and i love him so much already. He is perfect for our family. Joey and I are so blessed and i feel like we are constantly telling each other this! Praise Jesus! Who knew what a baby coming into the house would bring??? i mean, i have a new respect for each and every mother in this world. God is so good and i am in awe at how He provided me with the instincts i need to care for this child. Asher is a perfect baby! He really is. He sleeps so well and i always have to wake him to feed him. He is getting the hang of breastfeeding ( so am i ) and i am hoping that process gets easier! He loves to cuddle. I do too. I can't wait to see his personality form and see how our family looks after a few months! i am so ready for all the things God has in store for us!

Thank you to everyone for all the sweet calls, visits and messages. They mean so much to us! We love you and hope you all can meet the little man real soon!!!!! and of course, i am going to post picture.....lol....

On January 15 we welcomed our son, Jospeh Asher into the world! He came in weighing 7 lbs 13 oz and 21 inches long. He has beautiful black hair ( like his momma ) and sparkling blue eyes ( like his daddy )

I ended up having a c-section after we came to know that my body did not want to cooperate with any of the drugs to cause me to dialate. At that point though, i was perfectly ok with it all. I had contractions all night but zero dialation. so weird.

Joey was so wonderful during the whole process and is such a proud daddy! he glows each and every time he sees his sweet son.

I love christmas trees. and lights. I waddled around our yard and actually strung up christmas lights. really. i get joey to take me to look at all the lights...the more gaudy, the better. i love tons of colors and flashing lights the best. mine are all white. i am sure when asher gets here we will keep our "pretty" tree and also have a "fun" tree. i know Joey cannot wait. maybe next year i will be more mobile in the christmas season and can do more decorations outside!

Puppy has been stealing food lately. she is totally obsessed with it. that is probably why she has gotten to be a little butterball. i caught her ON MY TABLE stealing christmas cookies. i laughed and was mad all at the same time!!!!! i did however grab the camera for evidence..... her trial starts next week. there may be a dingo restriction for her current behavior.

I know i haven't been posting very much so i am playing "catch up" in this blog!

Went to doctor again yesterday and little asher has turned and is in the birthing position. it was a real wake up call that he is really coming and i am not always going to be pregnant. hahahaha.

I am so ready to have this baby! the swelling has gotten so bad and i have been miserable! i am ready to get back to half way "normal" aimee. lol

We are starting our weekly visits so i will try to update as we know things!

It is so hard to believe that Joey and I have already been married for a whole year!!! Time has flown by! I also never thought that a year later we would be counting down til the little one gets here either :) I am so happy that i married such a wonderful man ! I saw this on a few peoples blog and" well i love my husband so he gets a list too"!!!!

1. he loves me. and that takes a great person! he puts up with my annoying OCD tendencies and my lack of math skills :) ( apparently most people do not draw pictures in the checkbook to remind them of what they bought) God bless this man for marrying me.....

2. he is super funny! we spend most of our time laughing which makes marriage the best thing ever!!!! i feel like i am constantly with my best friend!

3. i love how stubborn he is. ( most would find this annoying ) but he will argue passionately about anything he could. i could tell him to give me a good argument on the sky being green and by the end, i may just believe him.

4. he handles all the things in the house which stress me !!!! ( bills, putting things together, the trash...) and it is really sweet he never tries to con me into doing these things :)

5. he is a great husband and is going to be a wonderful father. He keeps God first in all his decisions concering our family and that makes me so secure in life!!!!

I got to take a day to visit with one of my very best friends Missy Shoemaker!!!!! This made my month! She may be the most encouraging person i know and always lifts my spirits and oh, I LOVE her children. I do. They make me smile so much and if they ever stop watching Ezra he may be taken by me :) Kevin and MIssy were so sweet and gave me the coolest baby gift...a baby juicy coutour baby outfit. I think little Asher may make his debut home in it !!!! We are so thankful to have such great friends in Kev and mIssy and are so thankful they are at Mississippi State impacting all of crusade and the state campus!!! We love you!!!!

We are so happy to announce that we will have a son!!! Joseph Asher Wiggins. He is going to go by Asher though!!!!!!!!!! The little guy is so cute!!!!!! He likes to lay on his tummy during sonogram time so it took a while for him to move around then after he did he went right back to his tummy!!!!!! It was love at first sight for me!!!!!

After reading Super's blog post for today ( for those who don't know super is alison wallin's much deserved nickname from me, it is obvious why) I was thinking about whenever she finds helpful info for the family or for anything she always posts so none of her pals on blogland miss out! THEN i started thinking about how i call this girl daily with my " is this normal " pregnancy questions....most of which are stupid and go a little something like this " hey super , its aimee, is it normal to gain weight during pregnancy?" ISH, sometimes i do not have a clue. But she always answers me nicely and to the best of her knowlege! So what i am trying to say is " THANK YOU SUPER!!!!!! " you have been a huge help in my preggers life! love you!

And to sum up wiggins world, i have composed a small but quick list i am sure each will understand.
1. aimee has been o so sick. ( food poisoning, torn ab muscles, the ever so lovely puking that comes with just being preggers, and lots of dental work from things done wrong as a child and luckily all the work gave me earaches. AWESOME.

2. aimee is now well or being treated from all of the above so she feels fine now :)

3. joey works nonstop. it is his busy time of year so he sleeps about an hour a night and spends the rest of the time getting things together for school fundraisers. he really puts all his time and energy into this and we are all so proud of him. he makes schools a lot of money and they have no idea how much work goes on behind the scenes ( meaning our living room and his office ) last week we had to stuff almost 800 packets with things for children to take home, that does not sound like much but it took 6 hours that night. we were tired and sick of looking at all the literature when we were finished. joey did not go to bed last night bc he was working on a power point for a K-5 class. i have tried to convince him if something is wrong, they aren't listening anyway, just make sure the parent letter is right! i am so ready for this to slow down so i can see my husband!!!!

4. a random lady at target decided to "bless" my baby the other day. yep, hands on me and everything. people are weird. really weird. she also told me if things were to ever end with me and joey she knows a great guy for me. what?! crazy lady. should have helped her find her meds.

5. my dogs think the new nursery is their amp'd up dog house. i will let you know how that goes.

6. we are all moved in our new home in madison. we love it!!!!! it has more room for us to put the 50, 000 ups boxes that come here daily!!! lol.

7, joey and i learned that "Rudolph" as in the red nosed deer is a trademarked term, so one of our companies sent us wrapping paper for our catalogue that says RANDOLPH on it. i yelled out to joey and he thought it was simply a misprint. so we did a little research and our wrapping paper provider told us since they could not print rudolph they came up with " randolph the brown round nosed deer" stinks. we think that was a horrible idea. if you have a kid approach you to buy some randolph paper, we know its wrong. we are shame faced. dang copyrights.

that is the highlight of wiggins world. we find out what this little one is on tuesday so be watching for that exciting information!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, its true. After realizing that our family and home office needs have all grown so much in the last few months we are having to make a move! We found a wonderful house in madison in a neighborhood called ashbrooke. we are very very excited about it! Joey was a little hesitant at first since he is a brandon boy and all but he has really warmed up to the idea of madison county! please pray for us as we box up our house and start our new adventure! pics to come soon!

Joey and I got to spend a few days in orange beach then in destin after going to a MPSA meeting this last week. We never made it out to the beach but did do some good shopping and eating while we were there! It is always so much fun to just get away with the husband and do nothing for a bit. We did get to go see "what happens in vegas" which we loved. we thought it was so funny!!!!! maybe we will get to go again soon!!!!

This weekend Joey and i decided it was time to visit my favorite place in the world....Quitman County. We spent 2 eventless days at my dad's house and it was great! we stayed in our PJ's the whole time and ate so much! loved it. my puppies got to run and play in the field and chase rodents and insects and they had a blast! my dad is actually watching them this next week so joey and i can take a few days for the beach! yay!!!

last weekend the husband and i flew out to dallas texas for our worlds finest chocolate meeting. I think i gained at least 5 lbs from tasting all the delicious chocolate. :) it was a fun weekend but we stayed so so so busy that we didn't get much time to enjoy the city! we will go back soon i am sure and maybe next time we will get to meet up with some friends and hang out some.

yes thats right people. a F2 tornado came through my neighborhood yesterday. it was the scariest thing i have ever heard in my whole life!!! ok, so get this...i was on my way out the door to go run! yeah, a friend of mine text messaged me just after i had laced up the ole nike's and told me that the news said for my area to take shelter. i was trying to run out the door to avoid rain. thank goodness i got that message! my dogs were howling and we all ran and got in the shower and covered our heads. complete damage all over our hood. HUGE trees fell all over our streets and through many many houses. we had winds at 110 mph. it was so scary and i am so thankful that i was ok and everyone i know around here is ok. i am not sure if anyone was hurt but i know alot of people are homeless right now. i will post pics of our hood as soon as i can get some!

today i had a mystery present arrive at my door. i opened a box to find an abnormally large fortune cookie dipped in chocolate with sprinkles. odd. i stared at joey for a minute or so and tried to get him to tell me he sent it. there was no note. i immediately thought that the sender may have sent a "code" in the fortune....the key word to send me to its sender was "birmingham" i immediately thought of the captain and how that kind of randomness could only come from that mastermind. i was right.

**** this total random act of happy put a huge smile on my face. i LOVE the captain for such a fun adventure that was that cookie. *****

my babies bliss and forrest ( i say this since i started babysitting them when bliss was 5 and forrest was 3) won a STATE CHAMPIONSHIP on saturday and won the first game of the overall state tourn today against Jackson Academy!!!!! They play again on friday! can't wait to see them again! LOVE YOU GIRLS SO MUCH!!!!

I feel like i have not blogged in forever ( okay its only been a week ) but it still feels like a long time. I blogged earlier and mentioned that i have made a new little 11 year old friend. She and i have gotten to be great pals the last few weeks. Her name is amanda and i coach her in basketball and am good friends with her momma. It has been so fun to have a little pal who thinks i am cool ( man is she off ) and who i can be a good influence for. it is amaizing how much goes on in a 5th graders life. she loves to text which cracks me up. I went to ( and coached) her basketball tournament this weekend ( we came in 2nd place overall ) and then made it to her gym meet. she did really good in that. she is a level 6 ( like i know what that means ) but i hear that is good. just wanted to give her a shout out and tell her that she is one awesome kid who makes me so happy!!!!!! she is going to spacecamp tom. so i hope she has a great time!

ok, let me just tell you how cute and sweet this man is...for valentines this year, he went shopping for me at my favorite boutique here in jackson and bought me 2 dresses ( with the help of my friend dabbs who owns it) and got me a sweet giraffe stuffed animal....too cute. he told me that i should be getting a delivery ( i wonder what that could be ) ?! i just want to brag on him and his cuteness for a moment. we are off to a nice romantic dinner at shapleys tonight...my favorite!!!! yay!

Ok, is this nerdy for me to wish Joey a happy v-day on our blog? oh who cares, he knows i love him!!!!! V-Day is actually tom. but he will see this when he wakes up so hopefully he will wake up knowing his wife loves him. :) And we all know how i love lists....so here is another one!!! TOP 5 reasons i love joey TODAY ( events that have taken place in the last 24 hrs )

1. we both bought new coach shoes. we are the poorest elitist you will EVER meet. really.
2. He choked down what i realized was the most horrific chicken dish i have ever made..with a smile on his face:)
3. He brought me my favorite worlds finest chocolate home from the office today :)
4. He gave my puppies a Valentines early bc we get so excited to give them toys.
5. He walked around the whole outside of the mall bc i looked at shoes so long the store closed....and then the mall closed....and we parked on the opposite side of the exit door.....

Joey and i decided to join the YMCA here at the res. Let's see how long this lasts..... hahaha. We have really loved playing tennis with each other with each other and this is a perfect and close place for us to do so. We are really pumped about our new healthy lifestyle of working out and eating healthy. ( at least i think he is pumped too ) this is a picture of me and how i look when i work out....just so you can have a good mental image...got it? ok, now imagine me beet red and crawling back to my car....there ya go...that is how it looks.

Swimsuit season

Yes, that's right. Joey and i made that fun trip to find that perfect swimsuit for this year ( for me i need 2 or 3 ) We are hoping to go on a cruise in may and we are just so pumped we went ahead and did a little shopping. we saw a lot of weird suits ( including a delta gamma 2 piece.) but we both made some good solid choices. :)

Cabo is the cruise destination as of now. Considering Alaska. Maybe Southern Carribean. who knows. either way, i am pumped. :)

Yesterday was Joeys actual birthday ( we had his birthday with my family this past weekend) and for his "wiggins" birthday we all went out to eat at el dorado steak house and then back to his parents so he could blow out his 29 birthday candles and make a wish that he never gets to the big 3-0. haha. he also got some presents which makes him so happy !!!! he had an ole miss cake ( vomit) and it was hard for me to hide my emotions on this matter. i would not eat anything that was red, blue or white, so i scraped off all the icing and had a slither of chocolate cake. yum. i can't eat anything that the picture of that webel may have touched!!!! i know for my birthday i need a MISSISSIPPI STATE UNIVERSITY cake! :) Joey has promised me one :) enjoy the pictures!

This past Friday i took my 2 year old little buddy Kylee Grace aka "booger" to the playplace at Mcdonalds. i thought that i was going to sit there and sip a diet coke while she played with other little kids. NO. Before i knew it i was climbing up the tubes with her and having a pack of litle girls hanging on me and crying each time i tried to sit down. i thought i was going to DIE!!!!! I was SO TIRED when i got home and decided after that i could skip my daily run. lol. i love this kid!!!!!

1. Lord Voldermort and Severus Snape are my favorite harry potter characters. i like edgy people. this fact about me scares my husband :)

2. I have had my car stuck in a parking garage on more than one occasion. it was rather emberassing. we had to let the air out of the tires. it is hard to keep your cool in this situation.

3. i call everyone booger.

4. i am so so so so bad at remembering names. if i know you by your actual name, feel very honored. ( this excludes katie madden who i call the captain and alison who i call super A) i know ya'lls names...i just choose not to use them. :)

5. as a young child i had corrective braces on my legs...yep....i was forrest gump. but really cute :)

wow, i can't believe that it is already christmas!!! joey and i have been so busy since the wedding that it really has creeped up on us! this month has been so hectic and i am glad that we are finally getting a few days to chill out and be with family! this christmas will definetley be different without my pappow. i have been aching the last 2 weeks thinking about this. joey has been super sweet helping me during this though.

its weird how much i usually get caught up in all the "wrong things" this time of year ( presents, shopping and such) and now i am so concerned just being with family and friends and enjoy each moment i have with them. i didn't realize how much i miss some of my friends until i saw them recently and sat back and was like" wow i know great people!"

so that is what i am doing this year...enjoying people that i love and spending my time celebrating the birth of our savior. i am so lucky to have a wonderful husband and friends to do this with! love you all!

Unfortunetly this week i had to say goodbye to my best friend, my pappow. He was the greatest most kind man i ever knew. He made up so many of my good childhood memories. He was a wonderful man of God and he was kind to everyone he met. I am very sad to know that mine and his great conversations on his deck will no longer take place, or that i have no one to go look for deer with anymore. i loved this man so much and he will be deeply deeply missed. this isn't a very good picture, but it is all that is on my computer today. i will put a better one up later. this was his favorite hymn below...i think it shows where he was in his life!

Honeymoon in Italia

We're back from our wonderful honeymoon in Europe! It was incredible!!!!!! We got to see so many beautiful places and things. I think Joey really missed american food though (which he calls chinese food) I am so blessed to spend almost 2 weeks with my wonderful husband in such a wonderful place!!!! here are a few of the pics...i will post more soon!

Ok, i am now back from the honeymoon! I guess since i have gone through the vows i am going to add my husband to my blog! ( though he thinks this is stupid i am sure) The wedding was WONDERFUL!!!!! the honeymoon was WONDERFUL! i am so so so lucky to have married such a wonderful guy! I am very excited about our upcoming life together! I also loved getting to see so many friends the week of the wedding! Katie Madden and Alison Wallin were sweet enough to come in early and stay with me at my new house and help me with all the last minute details. it meant so much to me to have those two very special girls there. I also got to spend a little bit of time with Katey Overstreet who is just wonderful in my book. I love her. I am so thankful for all my friends who were in the wedding and spent time of their life to share in mine and joey's. please continue to pray for mine and joey's marriage! we are so excited to start this chapter in our life! Here are a few pics from the wedding! there aren't many at this time, but i will post them as i get them !

I AM GETTING MARRIED IN TEN DAYS !!! SO FUN!!! and also it is so so so so so so fun that Alison and Katie are coming in on Thursday to see me!!!!! I am so excited I could jump up and down. ( which i may have done) I just love them so much!!!! Me seeing these two girls at the same time is about like imagining a child hopped up on sugar and being allowed to go to disneyworld and hang out with santa clause all at the same time. that is exciting. yay!

I am marrying an old man...just kidding. Last weekend we went to Hal and Mal's to celebrate Joey being out of highschool for 10 years. It was so fun to meet his old friends and to see all the old video footage of him playing football. He was so cute!!! ( he still is ) I felt so young around all these people but had fun talking with everyone!!!! Yay for Jackson Prep class of '97.

i mean, how weird. i am so excited but yet and am kind of nervous of my new life ahead. it is weird to think that i will no longer be aimee madison, i will be aimee wiggins. i mean, my last name switches from one town name to another. not many people can say that. i am so excited about being married though! so excited. and i am also excited that my best friends are coming into town for the madison/wiggins shindig. i get to see alison and katie both in one day, i mean that is like disneyland for aimee. hooray!!!!!! please keep me in your prayers with all the last minute details/planning that takes place!!!!!!! hooray for gettin married!

ok...i heard katie madden talk about how cool her mac was, so to stay up with the times i bopped out and got me one. who knew it was so different!!! i mean, i can make all kinds of cool pictures, but basic funtions of the computer are hard to me now. but don't worry, i keep the ole toshiba pc close at hand just incase i need some quick help. i do however really enjoy making fun pictures with this new device..... anyone wishing to train me on the mac feel free to.

Bacc Party in Birmingham

I had my bacc party in the ham this weekend. it was very small but fun. i left on friday and went over to the ham and stayed the weekend at the captains. a few friends came in town and we hung out for a while, i taught katie a few dance moves that i don't think the world is ready for, and then we all went to a piano bar called the twist and shout. i had a great time! thank you guys for the fun! here are some pics of me trying to teach katie my own little version of what she called the "electric slide". i now call it the "aimee kick dance".

This might be the coolest thing ever. i wish i knew how to play chess.... apparently checkers and chess are not the same thing. i did cooler things as a child, i didn't play these smart kid games :) however, i do like to think that i won this game. this game made me think of the giant chess game in harry potter ( wizards chess ) and we all know how much i love harry potter!

the birmingham zoo

O the fun, this past saturday i was in birmingham with the captain ( katie madden) and we went to the zoo!!!!! i was so excited!!! i loved it! i am always amaized when i see all of God's creatures. They are so beautiful and i think it is so funny that all things have a reason to be on earth. The highlight animal of the trip was the giraffe. I loved this creature. ( no i am not 5....the zoo was really that cool ) i think Jesus is going to let me have a pet giraffe in heaven that i can ride. This is exciting to me. :)

Last weekend Joey's lawfirm threw us a fun cocktail party at one of the lawyers neighborhoods. it was so fun and the night was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! i think that it was the first cool night that we had this year. We were so appreciative for all of our friends there and for everyone who helped host the party for us! we love you!!!

A few weeks ago John Hodges and I hosted a Home Depot vendor appreciation day at work. We had lots of local businesses come out and help....including the Brandon Fire Dept. They let me drive the fire truck. It was only a few feet but i felt so cool. I even got to wear the hat. They thought i was a dork....i guess i am. it was fun!!!!!

The Beach

Joey and i decided that it would be fun to go on a little weekend beach trip to get some sun and just have fun. I am not a big fan of the ocean because i have drama every time i get in it. I either lose a contact, jewlery, get stung by a jellyfish, get attacked by flying fish, have a sea turtle swim into me...something.... this time, i actually got seasick by playing in the waves. I am a wimp i know. Soooo i had to sit out of the ocean. I thought it would be funny to flick sand on joey..... not a good idea. he pegged me in the face with a handful of sand ( on accident ) but it was sad. i am not over it yet :) We had so much fun! Joey does not like Joe's crabshack. the waitresses dancing stressed him out....it was quite funny.

2. I grew up in Lambert, Mississippi , which is in the DELTA.
3. I am obsessed with the Delta.
4. I do hunt and can shoot a gun.
5. When i was 4, I had two dogs, one i named rainbow brite and the other i named motorcycle.
6. I thought new shoes would make me run faster than my old ones.
7. I have had stitches 11 times. 4 of 11 were from failed flying attempts as a child.
8. I played basketball from 4th to 12th grade...i was thrown out of 4 games for unsportsmanlike conduct. this usually make my coaches happy.
9. My grandfather is my best friend. ever.
10. I can drive a tractor.
11. I can also change the oil in my car. I normally choose not to.
12. I have 2 dogs now, puppy and buddy, they make my heart smile.
